Thailand's manufacturing sector is proving particularly attractive to European investors, with its green technology industry generating a lot of interest.

Dr Atchaka Sibunruang Brimble, secretary general of the BOI, said: "Even as global foreign direct investment begins to slow down due to the global economic crisis, European investors still consider Thailand as one of the most attractive destinations in the region."

Speaking after a trade mission to Europe earlier in the month, Dr Atchaka added that the Thai government was working hard to improve the country's investment climate and make it simpler for foreign businesses to invest there.
